 INTRODUCTION

In this world, we have different kinds of inventions. Most of these inventions are making the life of human beings easy. A very sharp invention of the modern day is AI, artificial intelligence. Like other inventions, artificial intelligence is also making the life of humans somehow easy. There are two aspects of AI. Some of them are positive and some of them are negative.

POSITIVE ASPECTS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

First of all, we will discuss the positive points accordingly. AI is putting great effort into different departments of life such as teaching, journalism, politics, and management.

ROLE OF AI IN EDUCATION AND STUDENT LEARNING

AI is giving beneficial services to students. Many students easily get concepts from AI rather than from their teachers. This access helps students understand topics quickly and clearly.

AI IN DAILY LIFE AND HOUSEHOLD USE

Many household appliances are now based on AI. With a single click, we can do many tasks. Daily life has become faster and more convenient.

AI IN CORPORATIONS AND JOURNALISM

Many giant companies like Google, Apple, and Samsung are transferring their work to AI. Because of this, efficiency has increased. In journalism, people get information in seconds on specific topics and can write drafts quickly. Humans can now gather information easily with the help of artificial intelligence.

NEGATIVE IMPACTS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Previously, we noted some positive points of AI. Now, we will discuss the negative points, which are the core of this article.

EXCESSIVE DEPENDENCE OF ADOLESCENTS ON AI

Many adolescents use AI for all their work. They make assignments, do homework, perform critical analysis, comparisons, and even thinking with the help of AI. This shows that young minds are becoming dependent on AI instead of developing their own abilities.

SCIENTIFIC STUDIES ON AI AND HUMAN BRAIN ACTIVITY

According to the MIT Institute, researchers divided people into three groups for writing an essay. One group used only their own mind. The second group used Google search. The third group used AI. EEG tests were conducted during the process. The group using AI showed the lowest brain activity, while the group using their own brain showed the highest. This shows that excessive AI use can weaken mental engagement.

COGNITIVE OFFLOADING AND ITS DANGERS

Most people who use AI are involved in cognitive offloading. According to a science journal named Societies, this practice is dangerous for the human mind because it reduces mental effort and independent thinking.

EXPERIMENTAL EVIDENCE ON EFFICIENCY AND THINKING SKILLS

Another experiment was conducted by an international institute. Thirty juveniles were given tasks with the help of AI. The results showed better efficiency and time management. However, critical thinking, critical analysis, and natural thinking remained the same or slightly decreased.

BALANCED USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

These studies explain the dangers of AI. This does not mean that AI should be boycotted. It should be used with limitations and responsibility.

ETHICAL AND UNETHICAL USE OF AI

People should be made aware of ethical and unethical use of AI. Unethical use must be prohibited to protect academic honesty and intellectual growth.

ROLE OF MONITORING AND REGULATION

Adolescents should not be given unrestricted access to AI. If access is given, it must be monitored regularly. In fields like management and journalism, AI detection tools should be used before publishing any material. Strict action should be taken against unethical users.
