Breaking the Ice: A Wake-Up Call for Pakistan’s Youth
Today, I want to break the ice against our Pakistani youth, especially Gen Z and other generations who are in their youthful period. It is very essential for us to be aware and raise our voice against the spoiling of our youth.
Hollow Men in the 21st Century: Eliot’s Vision Comes True
It is no stretch to say that today’s man — as hinted by T.S. Eliot in his poem The Hollow Men, published in 1925 — reflects exactly what Eliot foresaw. Now, I am truly understanding the meaning of that poem. In it, Eliot said that the modern man is a stuffed man, doing all things like a robot. Now the question is: what are the causes that are destroying our youth’s minds? There are many factors and causes leading adolescents toward destruction. The major cause is the harmful use of the internet and mobile phones. In my opinion, young minds consume a lot of content that is very harmful to them. They spend or waste much of their time scrolling through TikTok and Instagram reels, which are a double-edged sword for young minds.

Final Nail in the Coffin: What Parents and Society Must Do
Now, the final nail in the coffin is: we must keep an eagle eye on our children, especially youngsters. It is the duty of parents to maintain a strict balance in the lives of their young sons or daughters for a better future. This is a humble request to parents and government policymakers: please rescue the minors from becoming hollow men in their own homes.
